1954 Hudson Hornet Club Coupe

My Research for Building the Moebius '54 Hudson

My favorite part of model building is doing the research for the model that I'm about to build, finding what I like, and taking that information and turning, what I read and see in my head, into reality. Looking at the finished product of what I saw in my mind is so very rewarding.

The 1954 Hudson Hornet Club Coupe is a Moebius kit. This will be the first time I ever built a Moebius kit and so far, just from the instruction sheet, I'm very impressed. Not only do the instructions look like they're laid out well, but they also include a lot of information about the actual car, such as the color schemes that were available for that year's model. The instruction not only gave the factory colors and color combinations, but the manufacturers paint code is also given. After doing some research, the following image shows the various colors and color combinations available for the '54 Hudson. I'll be doing this kit using RQ-190:

Upper Body: Ebony Black (Ditzler #9100) [Mission Model: MMP-011 DunckleGeib]
Lower Body: Green Gold (Ditzler #80681) [Mission Model: MMP-047 Black]

Manufacturer colors and color combinations

Carpet: Dark Gray, Tan or Muted Blue
Seats - Front and Top: Medium Gray, Tan or Muted Blue
